Square Root

 

A square root  is the opposite to a square  

 

eg.         

(because 2 x 2 = 4)

 

             

(because 3 x 3 = 9)

           

 

(because 6 x 6 = 36) etc

 

YOU SHOULD KNOW ALL THE SQUARE ROOTS UP TO 100

 

             

 

Cube Roots

 

A cube root  is the opposite of a cube  

 

eg.         

(2 x 2 x 2 = 8)

 

                      

(5 x 5 x 5 = 125) etc
