Solve:            Find the missing number, do the opposite

 

1.       Decide which number / letter you wish to move

2.       Ask yourself, “What is it doing?”

Is it adding?

      subtracting?

      multiplying?

      dividing?

3.       Do the opposite:

 

Adding                  Taking Multiplying Dividing Square Square root

Taking Adding Dividing Multiplying Square root Square

 

4.       Move the  to the bigger side (ie. the side which has more  ’s)
