Symmetry

 

Line Symmetry - A line that divides a shape into 2 equal (identical) parts.

 

eg.

 

Rotational Symmetry - Shapes that fit into their outlines when rotated.

 

eg.

           

 

ORDER  the number of times a shape will fit onto its outline in any  rotation.

 

eg.        the order of symmetry for the above shape is 4, as it can fit onto its outline four times in one full rotation.
